Chicago Bluesman Dave Specter

If you are into the blues, and just happen to be in the Chicago area sometime over the summer, there are several great opportunities to see Dave Specter.  Dave is no stranger to the blues scene and has many accomplishments under his belt.  Not only has he toured and played with the best in the industry such as Otis Rush, Buddy Guy, and Johnny Adams, Dave produces, teaches, and leads.  I have listed some dates below when you catch Dave in action.  Don’t pass up the opportunity.

The Blues of Joe Bonamassa

I have a very special place in my heart and soul for the blues. Most likely because I’ve been playing guitar myself for quite some time. It’s kind of hard not to enjoy the amazing soul filled style of the blues when you have a guitar in your hands. Weather you are someone young first discovering the power of blues greats such as Buddy Guy, John Lee Hooker, or BB King, or if you are someone who has been living your life quite some time living and breathing the blues, you both have something in common. You will enjoy the power of Joe Bonamassa.

I first heard Joe play guitar in the band Bloodline, he was only in his teens when he was part of that project. I instantly knew that this kid could seriously play the blues. The Bloodline song “Stone Cold Hearted” was in my CD player for a really long time. His style of today is compared to Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Johnny Lang. To me, Joe’s style of the blues is unforgettable. If you haven’t already, please give him a listen.
